DISNEYLAND PARIS HOTELS

Choosing a hotel at Disneyland Paris is often one of the hardest decisions of your entire trip. We all want to soak up that Disney magic, but we also want to balance our budget so we can splurge on that perfect souvenir, a delicious snack, or the dream experience we've been waiting for.
If you’re considering staying here, this guide holds everything you need to know: what the rooms are like, how long it takes to reach the parks, how the dining plans work, and most importantly, who we truly recommend this hotel for.
A Direct Trip to Route 66... with Lightning McQueen 🏎️
From the moment you arrive, the hotel's vibrant personality is impossible to miss. The massive welcome billboard featuring Lightning McQueen and Sally, the Cars soundtrack playing in the lobby, and the architecture inspired by the iconic Route 66 motels ensure your adventure begins before you even step foot in the parks.
This isn't a luxury resort (and it never claimed to be), because its true charm lies in its incredible immersion. Every building, color palette, and corner is meticulously designed to make you feel like you've just pulled into the New Mexico desert. When night falls, the atmosphere completely transforms: neon signs and classic vintage lights create a wonderfully peaceful vibe that is absolutely worth an evening stroll before bed.
The Rooms: Simple, Comfortable, and Heavily Themed 🛏️
The rooms stay incredibly true to the Cars aesthetic. You’ll discover racing-inspired details, traffic cone lamps, character artwork, and a simple but highly playful decor that little ones absolutely adore.
Keep in mind, this isn't a newly refurbished hotel; the furniture has been around for a few years, and this will likely be one of the next resorts to undergo a major update. Even so, the rooms perfectly deliver what most families need: comfortable beds, excellent cleanliness, a quiet environment, and plenty of space to crash after a hardcore day of magic.
Summer Note: It was quite hot during our visit, and while the hotel doesn't have air conditioning, the ceiling fan was more than enough to keep us comfortable at night.
The Vibe: One of Disneyland Paris' Most Immersive Hotels 🌵
One thing that completely blew us away was the overall atmosphere. Wandering between the rust-colored buildings, following the painted roads on the ground, and uncovering hidden Easter eggs gives Santa Fe far more personality than we ever expected.
In fact, this was the hotel where we had the most fun completing the Discovery Quests. We found gorgeous details that we had completely overlooked on previous visits, and we stumbled upon one of our new favorite spots: what might just be the smallest volcano in the world.
It’s these little touches that turn a simple walk into part of the adventure.
Is It Too Far from the Parks? The Short Answer is: No 🚶‍♀️
This is one of the most common questions we get, and the answer usually surprises people. Yes, Hotel Santa Fe is geographically one of the furthest Disney properties, but that doesn't mean it’s inconvenient.
On one hand, you have free shuttle buses running every 10-15 minutes all day long. On the other hand—and this is our absolute favorite secret—you can simply walk. The stroll to the parks takes about 20 minutes along the Rio Grande riverbank; it’s a gorgeous, peaceful trail and the perfect way to ease into your morning. Many guests end up preferring the walk over the bus.
Dining and Food 🍴
La Cantina restaurant seamlessly extends the hotel's theme. The decor is packed with nods to vintage gas stations and Route 66 trucks, keeping the immersive vibe going right through your meal.
The buffet was a highly practical option: we found a solid variety of dishes (though slightly more limited than other buffets on property), and during dinner, the drink station had a bit of a line. However, there was one detail we absolutely loved: the indoor play area. While the kids burn off some steam, adults can finish their dinner in peace, keeping an eye on them in an environment that was surprisingly calm.
Which Dining Plan is Included at Hotel Santa Fe? 🍱
This hotel offers access to the Disney Dining Plans, defaulting to the Standard Plan. But here comes the big question: is it actually worth booking?
The answer depends on a lot of factors: how many nights you’re staying, if you plan to eat breakfast there, which restaurants you want to hit, or how many buffets you plan to eat at. That’s exactly why we built a magical tool that handles all the math for you.
