Halloween transforms Disneyland® Paris with pumpkins, Disney Villains, characters, entertainment and seasonal treats. Discover what to expect in 2026 and how to make the most of your visit.
DISNEYLAND PARIS
9/22/20267 min read
One of the most anticipated and magical seasons at Disneyland® Paris is, without a doubt, Halloween.
Smiling pumpkins pop up all along Main Street, U.S.A., Disney Villains step out of the shadows, Mickey and his friends debut their spooky new looks, and Frontierland feels even more deeply mysterious than usual.
And no, you don't need to be a horror fan to absolutely love it. Halloween at Disneyland Paris retains that signature Disney charm: it’s more mischievous than terrifying, making it a brilliant experience for families with young children and for adults who simply want to experience the park in a completely different light.
🎃 When is the Halloween season at Disneyland Paris in 2026?
The Disney Halloween Festival 2026 will run from September 26 to November 1, 2026.
All the special seasonal activities are fully included with your standard park ticket, so you do not need to purchase an extra add-on.
That being said: October 31st is a very special day and comes with some major differences that we’ll break down for you below.
👻 Disneyland Park Completely Transforms
One of the best things about visiting Disneyland Paris during Halloween is that they don't just scatter a few pumpkins around; the park undergoes a total transformation, packed with breathtaking details everywhere you look.
This year, Main Street, U.S.A. will boast around 40 new pumpkins, some 170 glowing candles inspired by Mickey and his friends, and stunning Victorian-style garlands. There will also be a brand-new seasonal soundtrack, and when night falls, special projections will completely transform Main Street, giving it a wildly different, eerie atmosphere.
So, our advice is incredibly simple: do not rush down Main Street just to get to the rides. Take your time to admire the shop windows, the facades, the lampposts, and the hidden corners. Halloween at Disneyland Paris is packed with brilliant little details that are far too easy to miss if you're in a hurry.
🌵 And Then There’s Frontierland...
If there is one land that feels like it was literally built for Halloween, it’s definitely Frontierland.
The atmosphere around Casa de Coco – Restaurante de Familia comes alive with vibrant decor inspired by Día de los Muertos, while Phantom Manor does its part effortlessly without needing much of a seasonal makeover at all.
Because, let’s be honest... Phantom Manor in October simply feels different. 👻
🎭 Disney Villains Step Out of the Shadows
Halloween is also the ultimate season for those who prefer their characters with a little less sugar and a lot more wicked flair.
Throughout the season, you’ll be able to track down various Disney Villains, and Disneyland Paris has already announced that for 2026, you can expect characters like Maleficent, Cruella, Jafar, Captain Hook, and Dr. Facilier.
☁️ Nubi's Tip: check the official Disneyland Paris app on the exact day of your visit. Some character encounters have very limited times, and it is absolutely worth organizing your day around the villains you simply cannot miss.
🎉 Mickey's Halloween Celebration is Back
One of the absolute stars of the season is returning in 2026: Mickey's Halloween Celebration.
This joyful, upbeat cavalcade rolls down Main Street U.S.A. featuring the Mischief Makers, Disney’s most playfully wicked characters, an incredibly catchy Halloween soundtrack, and a special show stop right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The lineup includes Goofy and Donald, who will be debuting brand-new, exclusive seasonal outfits.
This is where Halloween truly proves what makes Disneyland Paris so unique. It’s not a scary parade. It’s colorful, hilarious, delightfully chaotic, and quintessentially Disney.
☁️ Nubi's Tip: if you want a great view, don't wait until you hear the music to start looking for a spot. Check the parade schedule on the app early in the day, and try to plan it around other things you want to do in that same area of the park.
🏚 The Perfect Halloween Attractions
Not every special Halloween experience needs a giant neon "Halloween" sign.
Some attractions simply hit completely differently during this time of year:
Phantom Manor is the undisputed queen of the season. Its dark lore, the Ravenswood estate, the eerie cemetery, and the entire atmosphere of Thunder Mesa feel even more intensely appropriate when the park is covered in pumpkins.
And if you're craving something with a much bigger thrill, head over to Disney Adventure World and drop into The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Disneyland Paris officially highlights both of these attractions as the ultimate experiences to conquer during the spooky season.
While the Halloween Festival is mainly concentrated in Disneyland Park, that absolutely does not mean you should skip the second park!
🍰 Tasting the Halloween Magic
Yes. We’ve reached one of Mochu's absolute favorite topics. 🦝
During the Halloween Festival, a wave of highly-themed seasonal snacks and exclusive culinary treats takes over the resort.
And here is a crucial piece of advice: do not assume you’ll be able to find every single treat throughout your entire stay. Some of these snacks are in such high demand that they regularly sell out early in the day.
🦝 Mochu's Tip: if you spot a Halloween snack that you really want to try... it’s probably best not to leave it for "another day."
We will be taste-testing all the new seasonal treats and sharing our absolute favorites—along with the ones you might want to skip.
🛍 Exclusive Halloween Merchandise
As expected, the Halloween magic also takes over the boutiques.
Throughout the season, you’ll find a fantastic selection of exclusive products and Halloween-inspired merchandise, though availability can fluctuate wildly depending on your travel dates and current stock levels.
If you are a seasonal merchandise collector, we highly recommend browsing the shops during the very first days of your trip rather than waiting until the last minute.
You already know how dangerous the phrase "I'll just come back for it later..." can be! 😅
🎃 What Happens on October 31st?
This is where we need to draw a very important line.
On October 31st, Disneyland Paris will host a highly special lineup of events, and Disneyland Park will stay open until 23:00.
That day will feature rare character encounters, a massive candy giveaway sponsored by M&M'S, and a breathtaking fireworks spectacular designed exclusively for Halloween night.
And there is another massive difference: October 31st is the only day of the entire year when guests of all ages are permitted to enter Disneyland Paris in full costume, provided they adhere to the resort's official dress code guidelines.
If you are planning to visit on that exact date, be sure to double-check the official rules shortly before your trip, especially if you plan on wearing an elaborate costume.
🧡 Is Halloween at Disneyland Paris Scary for Kids?
Generally speaking, no.
The Disney Halloween Festival focuses on a family-friendly, fun vibe, packed with grinning pumpkins, warm autumn colors, Mickey and his friends, and playfully mischievous characters. The resort itself describes the season as the perfect way for little ones to experience Halloween in a joyful, welcoming environment.
Naturally, some Disney Villains might be a bit intimidating for very young children, and attractions like Phantom Manor might feel a little more intense. But we are absolutely not talking about a hardcore horror event or scare actors jumping out at guests in the streets.
Here, the scares always come with a heavy sprinkle of pixie dust. ✨
🌙 Don't Leave Too Early
Halloween essentially has two completely different personalities. During the day, everything is bright orange, sunny yellow, lively music, cheerful characters, and smiling pumpkins.
But as soon as the sun goes down, the park completely transforms. In 2026, there will be special nighttime projections on Main Street, U.S.A., making it absolutely worth your time to walk back through the area after dark, even if you’ve already been there several times during the day.
It is one of those perfect moments where we highly recommend slowing your pace. Grab a delicious treat, stroll down Main Street, and simply soak in the incredible atmosphere.
🗓 How Many Days Do You Need?
If experiencing Halloween is one of the main reasons for your trip, we definitely wouldn't try to cram it all into just a few hours.
With a multi-day stay, you can comfortably spread out the characters, the parade, the decor, the rides, the dining, and the shows without turning your Halloween adventure into an exhausting marathon.
Plus, remember that Disneyland Paris is still Disneyland Paris during this season: the classic attractions, restaurants, and a huge portion of the regular entertainment run exactly as usual.
The secret is to integrate the Halloween magic seamlessly into your overall visit, rather than trying to force it all into a single frantic morning.
If reading all this already has you daydreaming about pumpkins, Disney Villains, and a Main Street fully decked out for Halloween 🎃, you can check out the official Disneyland Paris Halloween page to explore the season and start planning your adventure.

☁️Our Advice
If this is your first time visiting during Halloween, carve out time specifically for the things you can ONLY do during this season.
The rides will still be there on your next trip. But Mickey's Halloween Celebration, the roaming Villains, the eerie decor, the seasonal snacks, and that wildly unique atmosphere will vanish the moment the season ends.
So strive for balance: absolutely hit your favorite rides... but leave enough room to truly live the Halloween magic. Because years from now, you probably won't remember if you rode Big Thunder Mountain four or five times. But you will absolutely remember that crisp autumn evening, strolling down a Main Street glowing with pumpkins as the nighttime lights began to flicker on. 🎃✨
