(Mochu sprints at full speed toward Town Square the exact second he passes through the park entrance turnstiles. He screeches to a halt, looks up, and leaps with pure excitement upon seeing Mickey and Minnie waving happily from the Main Street Station balcony in their Halloween costumes, as he waves his little paw back enthusiastically). 🦝🧣🏰🍂

"YAAAY! Welcome to the final stretch of our Halloween adventure and the sweetest mission of the entire season! ☁️🍬🍂

If you thought that after all those burgers and sweet potato fries in our last report we’d be stuck in bed from a massive food coma... well, you just don't know my tummy yet! 🦝🥐

On Halloween, everyone asks: ‘Trick or treat?’ But at Disneyland® Paris, the real question is: Sweet or even sweeter? So we set off to explore the sweetest corners of the entire park to try every single treat of the Halloween festival... before those mischievous ghosts decide to eat them or hide them away in the mist!

So loosen your belt buttons, or pull out your stretchy-waist pants, and grab your napkins... because the great conquest of the sugar kingdom is officially underway! 🍩🍨🎃✨"

1. The Donut Tournament: 5 Spooky Creations Head-to-Head 🍩👑

(Mochu lines up all five donuts on a tray like they're contestants in a big costume contest). 🦝🍩✨

"We scoured land after land in search of the five official Halloween donuts. They all cost the exact same (€4.50 each), but each one comes with its own unique costume. And not all of them were born equal!"

(Mochu pulls out his plastic explorer knife and starts cutting each donut in half to check whether they’re actually filled or just full of haunted air...but halfway through, his instincts take over: he pinches a little piece here, another one there, and hums super focused the classic eerie intro to Jack Skellington's «This is Halloween»: «Dun, dun, dun, doo-doo-doo... Dun, dun, du-ru-rum...!» When he finishes the last one, his eyes go wide as saucers as he realizes he already ate a third of every single donut). 🎶🎃🦝🔪🍩🤤

"Oops! My instincts took over and I accidentally started the quality control check a little too early... but since I’ve already 'unintentionally' tasted them all, I've got our official podium ready to go! 😁"

🥇 1st Place: Donut Effroi Enchanté (10/10) · Cookie Kitchen (Main Street, U.S.A.)

(Mochu clasps his little paws together and his eyes light up at the sight of the thick filling). 🤤✨

"Just look at that bright orange glaze with the neat black spiderweb drawn on top. It’s simple, but super cool.

When you cut it in half, you discover a smooth Speculoos cookie cream filling. The dough is tender and fluffy, and the amount of filling is perfect: it doesn’t spill out to stain your clothes, but every single bite has plenty of cream. It's not too sweet at all. IT IS THE ABSOLUTE TREASURE OF THE EXPEDITION! Ten out of ten, no doubt!"

🥈 2nd Place: Donut Étrange Impression (9/10) · Last Chance Café (Frontierland)

(Mochu tilts his head, completely fascinated by the mysterious mansion design). 👁️💜

"Whoa! Its bright purple coating patterned with the watching wallpaper eyes from Phantom Manor makes it one of the most photogenic donuts in the entire park.

On the inside, it shares the winning Speculoos cookie cream with that lovely cinnamon aroma we love so much, but this one has just a little bit less filling and the dough feels slightly less fluffy. The design is a solid 10, though a classic glaze would've been even better. Still, it’s the perfect treat to eat right on the saloon porch."

🥉 3rd Place (Tie): Donut Dingo Farceur (8/10) · The Old Mill (Fantasyland)

(Mochu examines the deep black donut with white mummy wraps and Goofy's chocolate plaque). 🍫👀

"It has a classic deep jet-black glaze with white lines that look like little mummy bandages, and right on top it has a white chocolate plaque with Goofy in his costume.

It arrived super cold—straight from the fridge!—so it didn't taste quite as good. The dough lost a bit of its fluffiness and felt a bit heavy in the mouth. But thankfully, the cocoa cream filling saved it with flying colors! It's chocolaty, smooth, and super comforting. If you like chocolate more than fruit, this little mummy is your new best friend!"

🥉 3rd Place (Tie): Donut Douce Vengeance (8/10) · Cookie Kitchen (Main Street, U.S.A.)

(Mochu admires the dark chocolate horns sticking out of the glaze). 😈💜

"She's dressed up as Maleficent! She rocks an intense purple glaze with green lines and two dark chocolate horns that give her an imposing villainous vibe.

When you slice it open, a dark blackberry and blackcurrant jam oozes out with a lovely tangy kick. The dough is soft and the fruity contrast works wonderfully, but jelly-filled donuts usually split opinions: if you prefer creamy fillings over runny jams, you might find it a bit too sweet by the end. Still, she has tons of style!"

🥀 4th Place: La Méchante Douceur (7/10) · The Old Mill (Fantasyland)

(Mochu gazes at the Evil Queen’s yellow crown and scrunches his little nose). 🍎👑

"She looks a bit plain compared to the others, but the bright scarlet glaze paired with the yellow crown—which looks like it came straight out of Snow White’s castle—makes a really neat color combo.

If it were just about colors, this would be one of my favorites! But she also came out very cold, making the dough feel stiff and a bit dense in the mouth. Her classic strawberry jam filling is yummy for kids who love traditional sweets, but it gets heavy pretty fast. Her costume is one of the cutest, but she lacks the extra spark of the others."

2. Fine Pastry: Hades’ Whirlwind and the Battle of the Dark Olympus 🍰🕯️

(Around midday, Mochu heads toward one of the coziest and most elegant salons in the park, one that many people walk right past without noticing: Victoria's Home-Style Restaurant. He stands up super straight, takes a deep breath, exhales hard through his snout like he’s warming up for a boss battle, and lines up to go inside). 🦝🍴✨

"We left the quick-service street food behind and stepped into a long-table Victorian parlor on Main Street, U.S.A.: the famous Victoria's Home-Style Restaurant... home to the legendary Mickey waffles. But today we had to resist the temptation with all our might... because we came here for a true clash of the gods!"

🔥 Gâteau Flammes d'Hadès (€7.50) · Victoria's Home-Style Restaurant

(A fancy plate arrives at the table holding an elegant cylindrical gray cake, crowned with electric-blue cream flames and a golden band of Greek key patterns). 🏛️💙

"If you saw the picture on the official menu, don't be fooled: in real life it doesn't have that bright sky-blue or the clean white from the ad. It has a stormy blue-gray color that looks like it’s about to bring thunder and lightning straight from the underworld! And to make things worse, our battle started with team casualties: Tere wasn't feeling too great in her tummy that afternoon and opted for a hot coffee to rest, so Chris and I had to strap on Hercules' armor and face the sugar underworld all by ourselves."

(Mochu slices a vertical wedge with his spoon, letting out a muffled gasp of pure shock). 😱

"On the inside, it’s a total visual spectacle! The core of blackcurrant and blueberry confit oozes like dark vampire blood over the cocoa sponge cake, surrounded by a layer of vanilla mousse and a mountain of grayish-blue cream that looks just like Hades’ flaming hair!

It makes an incredible Instagram photo, but in your mouth, it’s a full-blown sugar tsunami. The tart fruit confit helps a little, but all that blue cream overpowers you by the third bite and completely takes over. This is a dessert strictly meant to be shared between two or three people; if it hadn't been for Nubi flying in to rescue us and eating a few spoonfuls, we would’ve been turned into solid stone statues forever from all that sugar! 🤣

(Mochu wipes his forehead with a napkin in sheer relief and lets out a long sigh). 🦝😮‍💨

'Phew! Eating this completely solo is an almost impossible mission! I do not recommend trying it without backup.'

• Verdict: 7/10 underworld stars. 🏛️🔥 (Gorgeous to look at, hazardous to your blood sugar)."

(Mochu wipes the blue cream off his whiskers, takes off his paper bib, and looks up toward the castle).

"We survived the morning and the god of the underworld, but our adventure is only halfway done!

For now, we’re packing our forks back into our backpacks and heading over to the Mad Tea Party for a spin while we digest our lunch... because Part 2 is going to be packed with surprises! Waiting for us is the mysterious Délice Mouss'térieux with Kiri® cheese and little chocolate ears, Jack Skellington’s giant cookie, the Queen of Hearts ice cream cone... and so much more!

(Mochu scooches in close and whispers in secret with sparkling eyes): 🦝🤫

‘...including the epic €26 popcorn bucket duel.’

(Mochu winks and takes Nubi’s hand).

See you at the next sugar stop!" 🐾🍰☕🎃✨
